Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, Hawaii’s “Movie Professionals”

When top-notch film directors shoot in Hawaii, they call Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. Blue Hawaiian is credited on an impressive list of major productions, such as: Steven Spielberg’s mega-hits “Jurassic Park” and “The Lost World”; action thrillers “Flight of the Intruder,” “Crimson Tide,” and the just-released “Battleship”; plus Disney productions “Pearl Harbor,” “George of the Jungle,” and “Six Days, Seven Nights” with Harrison Ford.

Blue also flew the aerials for “Honeymoon in Vegas” with Nicolas Cage, Ben Stiller’s “Tropic Thunder,” and two “Pirates of the Caribbean” films—“At World’s End” and “On Stranger Tides.” Blue Hawaiian has not only been shooting aerial photography in major motion pictures, but actually has had a supporting role. In the movie “The Big Bounce,” Blue Hawaiian CEO, Dave Chevalier, appears as the helicopter pilot for real-estate developer Ray Ritchie, played by Gary Sinise.
